Automation technologies pave a path forward for profitability and overcoming employee shortages, workforce challenges, and supply chain issues. If your automation technology doesn’t have a reliable provider of industrial automation cables, your production will be at risk. Check out Mueller Electric’s long list of M12 industrial automation cables.

Robots and machine vision are helping to stop disruptions in business and produce products faster and more efficiently for manufacturers.  Implementing automated processes for applications including assembly, machining, inspection, dispensing/sealing, and welding companies can improve efficiency, increase output, and grow revenue.

Our industrial automation cables ensure your employees can safely and effectively maintain and troubleshoot these systems. Our automation cables come ready to install with existing manufacturing equipment and can adapt with sensors, actuators, frequency converters, motor-operated switches and other components that are required as more and more smart factory practices come into play.

Mueller Electric manufactures molded and unmolded custom assemblies and select wire harnesses built specifically to your needs. Working with our Design-Test—Go process is fast and easy.

The M12 connections take up less room, are easy to install, are more reliable, have better safety features, and are flexible. The M12 connector configuration is male or female with various orientations available in straight, right angle, and open end, shielded and unshielded, various lengths, 18, 22 and 24 AWG, and a multiple number of pins such as 3, 4, 5, and 8.

Mueller Electric’s M12 instrumentation cable is overmolded and shielded or unshielded. Shielding consists of central conductors surrounded by a layer of insulation, while the cable is surrounded by a shield of braided metal or foil. Shielded cable is used to protect against interference from external electromagnetic fields generated by power lines, motors, and other electrical equipment. Cable shielding is used in applications where high levels of shielding are required to reduce the amount of EMI (Electromagnetic Interference).

The M12 instrumentation cable is offered in PVC (Polyvinyl Chloride), PUR (Polyurethane), and TPE (Thermoplastic Elastomer) cable materials. PVC is known for durability, flexibility, and resistance to water and chemicals making it suitable for a wide range of applications. PUR offers good resistance against abrasion, oil, and ozone.  TPE is flexible, recyclable and resistant to aging in sunlight, UV, and ozone. It is important to choose the right type of cable for a specific application to ensure that it can withstand the conditions it will be exposed to and provide reliable performance.

Mueller Electric’s M12 instrumentation cable complies with IEC 61076-2-101 Industry 4.0 and NEMA2000 standard. Our cables are RoHS 3 compliant and IP68 safety rated.

Mueller Electric’s M12 connectors improve safety, increase productivity, and cut downtime. Our M12 industrial automation cables are made at our headquarters in Akron, Ohio (USA) and available in 5 to 10 days lead time. To familiarize with our product line, contact us.
